Endless Possibilities

When I thought of the words, “Endless Possibilities”, I chuckled to myself. At the time and place I was at in my life, I couldn’t see past the fog. I often thought to myslef, who came up with that saying? It was so far out of my reach; therefore I often got discourage a lot when I couldn’t move past being in a stuck place. There was definitely an end to my possibilities, or so I thought. It wasn’t until I found Christ and gave him my worries that my perspective changed on how I viewed my possibilities. I was reminded of this through scripture. Philippians 4:13 says, I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Another scripture that also helps remind me that God is the one I should lean on for guidance and instruction is, Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. I wrote this blog to help encourage those in need to keep pressing on. If you’re looking at your situation and can’t see through your fog, cast all your cares upon God and allow him to clear your passage way. In doing so, you’ll begin to see more clearly and gain a better perspective on your life. If he did it for me, he’ll do it for you. But he won’t do it unless you hand it over. Stay encouraged and be strong.

Embrace You, because You Matter!

Embracing who you are is not always easy and can be a very difficult task. Some may say, you should love yourself as God created you and don’tworry about others. While this is very true, there are many factors that get in the way of seeing you as God intended. We live in a world where fame, fortune, and good looks (by any means neccessary) are the driving forces for many.

We often look at that and think we’re not successful because we don’t measure up to what society says we should have or look like. It is in the fame, fortune, and good looks (by any means necessary) that many people attach their self-esteem/self-worth to, and when this is not achieved it can  leave you to feeling un-worthy of God’s best.  This can also become very overwhelming and dominate your inner being if you’re not secure within yourself. Not believing in yourself can be a recipe for disaster. So, you may be asking yourself, what do I mean by this. I’m so glad you asked. 😊

Self-esteem means to have confidence in one’s own worth or abilities. Therefore if you are comparing yourself to someone who has more fame, fortune, or you think looks better, then your ability to embrace yourself is nearly impossible. It’s only when we love who we are no matter what/who we see and idolize around us that we are successful in embracing who we are who God called us to be. How can we accomplish this?

First, we have to rejoice in what God says and has done for us. Here are a few scriptures to memorize.  Psalm 139:14 says, I have been so amazingly and miraculously made. Proverbs 19:8 says, To acquire wisdom is to love oneself. And Ecclesiastes 3:11, He has made everything beautiful in it’s time.

Secondly, we have to believe that this is true even for us. With that said, we have to put things in action by changing our mindset. Now, this is not a simple task to just change the behavior you’ve been doing that got you here in the first place, but if you intentionally seek God’s assistance and be persistent in your endeavors to change, then change will happen.

Last but not least, remember that you are important, you are beautiful, you are strength, you are love, you are King, you are Queen…a Royal priesthood, you are brilliant and powerful! Seek to change the You from the inside and watch your true beauty emerge. Therefore, Embrace You, because it is You who Matter!
